address book
I've been using Eudora for 10+ years and I'm now trying Pandora..In the setup is there a way to have the address book nicknames in a column down the
left side of the screen as it can be set up in Eudora ? Also I'm having a problem using BCC when forwarding a message.
Thanks

Re: BCC and To:
Just want to know if all outgoing mail can be sent automatically using BCC . (Send it without selecting BCC each time).

Re: BCC and To:
you have to select (type or copy/paste) recipients one way or another.
if you are looking for not saving/erasing BCC field, so the field is empty after you send the message - no.

Re: BCC and To:
Ok..Guess I'm not to clear on what I need to know how to do..Say I have received a email and I want to forward it to a friend.
I rt click on the mail(listed under "Who"), the mail pops up but I can find no way to open my address book, select a address, and
put it in the BCC slot. In fact, I have not figured out how to address any mail that I want to forward(using my address book
and the BCC)..Can't do it using to ("To") either.
Is there a way of "floating my address book" along side the preview/composition pane as one can do with Eudora ??
Thanks

Re: BCC and To:
ramjet, here is how to do it:
1. select the message, hit Message/Forward (or toolbar button Forward or hit Ctrl+F). forwarded message is created.
2. click on BCC: (to the left from BCC-field). Address Book shows up.
[notice in Address Book, one of 3 buttons is flat ("semi-pressed"), that's a default button for addressing when you hit Enter/double-click. you made BCC default by pressing BCC:.]
or if you don't want to change the default addressing button:
2. set the focus on BCC-field and press Ctrl+F1, to invoke the Address Book.
3. select the recipient(s), hit BCC button (bellow the list).
to dock or float the Address Book, bring it to the front, right-click on Address Book caption bar and select corresponding menu item.
to switch back to workspace-window, bring it to the front and hit F8.

Re: BCC and To:
Hi A,
Thanks..once I got the address docked, I have no problem forwarding..The other difference from EUDORA (or a mistake by me)
Is if one is forwarding or creating a new email, and has the cursors blinking in the BCC selection field, and double clicks on a address
in the floating/docked ADDRESS BOOK, the entry is put in the "To:" field instead of the BCC field where the cursor was blinking.
In Eudora, the entry is put where one has a blinking cursor..Is there a setting for this or am I doing something wrong??
Thanks.

Re: BCC and To:
you welcome. no, default addressing-field (that is, which field is filled-in on Enter/double click) is not changed by where the focus was.
starting with the next version that will be possible. to make it so add:
AddressingDefaultFieldAlwaysInFocus=1
inside the Settings section of Pandora.ini/Registry.
